Description
“I’m a Soldier” draws inspiration from The Clark Sisters, with Joseph Opare putting his own stamp on the sound through a funky bass line played on keyboards. It’s a bold declaration of faith and resilience: “I’ve been tested, I’ve been tried, but still I fight.”
Tazzy L takes the song to another level with his lyrical contribution, while Melli3000’s Jamaican-style toasting adds another burst of energy and character.
At its heart is the declaration, “With Yah I’m conquering.” When life gets rough, the song encourages you to stand firm, draw strength from the Lord and keep moving forward. You’ve been through the battle, but you’re still a soldier.
